While Kohli managed to complete his half-century early before the innings ended, Suryakumar Yadav scored a six off the final delivery of India’s first innings and surpassed the 50-run mark. As Kohli and Yadav started walking off the field, they celebrated India’s finish in a unique animated fashion that caught everyone’s attention.

Suryakumar Yadav has been witnessing a purple patch of late and has been one of the most consistent batters in India’s setup. He’s the leading run-scorer in T20Is this year, but could not work his magic against Pakistan as he was dismissed for a low score. Kohli, on the other hand, bagged his second consecutive fifty of the tournament and has so far amassed 144 runs from two games.

He has either dropped a comment on Kohli’s Instagram post or shared an appreciation post on his Instagram wall for Kohli saying “Manlaa re Bhauu” (Marathi). In Kohli’s recent match-winning post on Instagram after the Netherlands game, Yadav gave a nickname for their duo and dropped a comment “SurVir”.

India’s next game at the World Cup is against South Africa, and the Indian team and fans would be hoping for another partnership between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. A victory in the next game would take India closer to the semi-finals.
