The Indian cricketer, Suryakumar Yadav has been in form of his life. After scoring a plethora of runs in the domestic circuit for the Mumbai team and followed it up with some match-winning knocks in the Indian Premier League (IPL) too. He finally got the much-deserved India call-up in the T20I series against England. He went on to score fifty of his debut for the Indian team.
The 30-year old batter is also one of the active cricketers on social media and he recently took a dig at his teammate, Shreyas Iyer who posted a video of him working out by calling it the ‘Shahenshah’ technique. This time Yadav took on India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who apparently kept asking Suryakumar Yadav for his bat.

In a chat on Mumbai Indians (MI) TV, Suryakuamr Yadav was seen saying to Chahal that his bat is heavy and he may not be able to use it. In the video, the MI batsman was heard saying, “He has been asking for a bat from me but my bat is slightly heavy, I have told him so many times – ‘You’re so thin, how will you use this heavy bat.’ But yes, I will have to tell him that the next time we meet, I will certainly present him with my bat.”

Yadav who was last seen plying his trade for MI in IPL 2021 will most probably be included in India’s tour to Sri Lanka in the month of July. The 30-year-old will look to make most of the opportunity by carrying his batting form ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup which is slated to take place in India in October. In the video, Suryakumar Yadav also revealed that he keeps practicing bowling at nets whenever he gets a chance.

Elaborating the same, Suryakumar Yadav said, “Why is he always behind my bowling? No, I have not stopped bowling, I keep bowling in the nets. Whenever I get an opportunity to bowl in the game I will be there. Parthiv bhai doesn’t worry you will see me bowling soon!”
In first-class cricket, Yadav has tasted a little bit of success in bowling as he has 24 wickets in 77 matches. He can also be used as the fifth bowler by India during the Sri Lanka series.
