While the consecutive surgeries required a hiatus from competitive cricket, reports suggest that Yadav is on a positive trajectory to return for the IPL 2024 season, where he will rejoin the Mumbai Indians. His return holds significant importance, especially considering his crucial role in India’s T20I squad as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup in June, co-hosted by West Indies and the USA.
Suryakumar Yadav currently holds the No.1 T20I batter ranking and has consistently performed well in this format for the Indian team. With an impressive record of 2141 runs in 57 innings at an average of 45.55, including four centuries and 17 half-centuries, his return to the squad is eagerly anticipated.
