Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav experienced a rare batting failure in the final match of the ongoing three-match series against Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy. Coming in at number five, Suryakumar managed to score only eight runs before being dismissed by Asitha Fernando.
The incident took place during the sixth over of India’s innings when they were already struggling, having lost key wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Rinku Singh. Given Suryakumar Yadav’s remarkable batting skills, the Indian management had high expectations from him. Unfortunately, the newly appointed T20I skipper fell short, getting out at a crucial point in the match.
