David Warner once again displayed his expertise in the switch hit in today’s match against Rising Pune Supergiant. Steven Smith, the captain of Rising Pune Supergiant, won the toss and elected to field.
Warner and Shikhar Dhawan started in a very decent manner. They scored 45 in the powerplay, but more importantly did not lose a wicket. By the halfway mark, Sun Risers had scored 65 for the loss of Dhawan.
On the third ball of the 15th over, Imran Tahir bowled a waist-height no-ball to Warner. Realising the opportunity on the spot, Warner brought out the switch-hit, which went for a huge six over the point region. Warner ended up scoring 43 off 40 balls with the help of three fours and a six.
