T Natarajan Replaces Varun Charkavarthy In The Indian T20 Squad

Ahead of India’s tour of Australia, team India has suffered a few injury blows. The latest has been that of the mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who earned a name for himself after a five-fer in IPL 2020 edition while representing the Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was then included in India’s T20I squad for the three-match series in Australia, but now, he has been replaced by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer T Natarajan due to shoulder injury.

Speaking of Natarajan, the SRH pacer has made heads turn for his franchise despite the fact that his side’s campaign ended on Sunday (November 8) with a 17-run loss to DC in Qualifier 2. Natarajan returned with 16 wickets at an average of 31.50 and was hailed by many for his knack of bowling yorkers at will.

In a statement regarding the same, BCCI said, “The spinner (Varun Chakravarthy) has been ruled out of the T20I series owing to a shoulder injury. The selectors have named T Natarajan as a replacement.” Following Natarajan replacing Chakravarthy, Irfan Pathan took to his official Twitter handle as he wrote, “Keep working hard,never loose hope is the story of #natarajan Congratulations buddy for your maiden india call.”

In the same line of developments, SRH skipper David Warner has come forward and congratulated the 29-year-old pacer. In the latest video put up by SRH on their Twitter handle, Warner talked about his experience with the team this year.
