The super-12 stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021 will be concluded with the game between India and Namibia at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on the 8th of November. India got late to pick the momentum in the tournament, and now they are out of contention to be qualified. They were hoping for Afghanistan to pull an upset against New Zealand on the 7th of November, but that didn’t happen.
After losing consecutive games, India made a stellar comeback in form and won the next couple of games by a significant margin, which has also led their Net Run Rate to be the highest among the other teams of Group 2. On the other hand, Namibia has managed to win just one of their four games so far and is standing second-last on the points table. Their only win came against Scotland. India last played Scotland at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where they butchered the weak Scottish side one-sided by 8 wickets.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides in T20Is. However, the Namibian players would be hoping to gain a lot of confidence from this exposure and will be planning to express themselves freely on the field. India will be eyeing to finish off their campaign on a high note with a convincing victory.
India
With New Zealand taking away the significance of this game, it could bring an opportunity for the only squad member without game time in the tournament – Rahul Chahar. Going hard at the top with the bat has been a revelation for India in the last couple of encounters. They’ll want to do more of that to cap off their otherwise disappointing campaign
Probable XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav/Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Varun Chakravarthy/Rahul Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami/Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Namibia
Jan Frylinck missed Namibia’s noon game against New Zealand on Friday due to dehydration. He will be expected to make a comeback. Namibia has been heavily reliant on their pacers, with three of their four best performers in the Super 12s being left-arm quicks. Their only Super 12 win – over Scotland – was orchestrated by Trumpelmann’s early burst in the PowerPlay.
