T20 WC Final: Watch: Matthew Wade Gives Early Reprieve To Martin Guptill Off Glenn Maxwell

Australia and New Zealand are locking horns in the grand finale of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. Both teams dug deep to win their respective semifinals and paved the way to the marquee clash.

Aaron Finch won the toss and opted to bowl first. Australia remained unchanged with their playing XI for the final while New Zealand replaced injured Devon Conway with Tim Seifert in their playing XI.

Martin Guptill and Daryl Mitchell walked out to open the innings for New Zealand. Guptill hit a four on the second ball of the match to kick off the things for New Zealand. Both openers were not taking any unnecessary risk upfront.

Glenn Maxwell came to bowl the third over of the innings. Mitchell smashed him for a six on the first ball. On the third ball of the over Guptill edged a straight ball which Matthew Wade failed to grab and gave an early lifeline to Guptill when he was on 10.

Both teams are coming with comprehensive performance in the Super 12 stage of the tournament. Both New Zealand and Australia won four matches and lost one during the league phase of the tournament. However, their most comprehensive performance came in the semifinal, where they scored 60+ runs in the last five overs to reach the summit clash of the T20 World Cup 2021.
