Sri Lanka and Australia are playing against each other in group 1’s match of the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai. Australia defeated South Africa in their opening game while Sri Lanka got better of Bangladesh to begin their Super 12 campaign.

Kusal Perera had smashed Starc for a huge six a ball before

Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australian named an unchanged playing XI. On the other hand, Sri Lanka brought in Maheesh Theekshana in place of Binura Fernando.

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera walked out to open the innings for Sri Lanka. Pat Cummins gave Australia a good start by removing Nissanka in his first over as Sri Lanka were 15/1 at the fall of his wicket. Charith Asalnka walked out and started playing his shots all around the ground.

Kusal Perera and Asalanka added 63 runs for the second wicket before Adam Zampa removed the latter. Kusal Perera then started playing his natural game and, in the process, smashed Mitchell Starc for a huge six over long-on.

However, Starc wasn’t in the mood to let Perera have the fun. The Australian fast-bowler brought a top-class yorker from his quiver and clean bowled the Sri Lankan batter. Hence, Starc completed his revenge in no time.
