Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif recently picked his Team India squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. Veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been in the golden touch with the ball in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, failed to get a place in his team. However, Kaif picked Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma as the two openers in his team for the T20 World Cup 2024. The duo has been in sublime touch with the bat in the IPL 2024. While the captain has scored over 300 runs, Jaiswal scored a sensational century in the last match as well.

Kaif then chose Virat Kohli as the No.3 batter in the side. The batter has been great in the ongoing IPL for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He is the leading run-getter in the tournament so far with more than 400 runs and the only batter in the league who has got past the 400-run mark in the league as well.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav has also found a place in Mohammad Kaif’s team at No.4 as well. The Mumbai Indians batter returned in action after injury through the IPL and so far he has been doing good with the bat, having smashed two half-centuries for the Mumbai Indians in the league. However, Kaif then picked Rishabh Pant as the keeper-batter in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2024 as well.

Mohammad Kaif then picked Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Ravindra Jadeja as three all-rounders of the side as well. Along with Axar and Jadeja, Kaif chose Kuldeep Yadav as the third spinner in the team as well. He then picked Sandeep Sharma, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, and KL Rahul as the other four players in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 also.
