The English side got a great start as their opener Jason Roy played fiery innings of 132 runs off just 124 deliveries in the second ODI against Bangladesh. The Bangladesh side found themselves in a spot of bother as they asked England to bat after winning the toss.

England managed to surpass the 300-run mark in the 48th over when the game witnessed a hilarious moment. Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed bowled a perfect yorker to Adil Rashid which was comfortably blocked by the English batter. To everyone’s surprise, Bangladesh fielders including skipper Tamim Iqbal started appealing for Leg Before Wicket.

When the on-field umpire rejected the appeal, Tamim Iqbal had no hesitation in taking a DRS as he looked confident to get the dismissal. DRS made it further clear that the ball was nowhere close to the pad and had clearly made contact with Adil Rashid’s bat. The video of the terrible DRS call taken by Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has gone viral across social media platforms.

Talking about the game, England registered a total of 326 runs courtesy of Jason Roy’s 132 while English skipper Jos Buttler too chipped in with a quick-fire 76 off just 64 balls. Bangladesh fast bowler, Taskin Ahmed took 3 crucial wickets while conceding 66 runs off his 10-over spell. Mehidy Hasan Miraz too grabbed a couple of wickets.

Shakib Al Hasan was the highest run-scorer as he amassed 58 runs while Tamim Iqbal scored 35 runs. Bangladesh eventually fell short by 132 runs allowing England their second victory in the series.

England’s all-rounder Sam Curran was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 4 important wickets while leggie Adil Rashid too grabbed 4 wickets. Jason Roy was adjudged the Player of the Match for his stellar knock of 132 runs which put the English side in the driver’s seat.
