The Indian cricket team has touched down in Durban, gearing up for a four-match T20I series against South Africa. This series presents an opportunity for the Suryakumar Yadav-led squad to redeem themselves following a disappointing 0-3 Test series loss at home to New Zealand. Returning to the T20 format, where India is the reigning world champion, the team hopes to bring cheer to their fans and re-establish their dominant form.
Kicking off their South Africa tour, the squad engaged in a fun Q&A session, with Abhishek Sharma and Axar Patel quizzing teammates on facts about the host nation, often known as the “Rainbow Nation.” The quiz began with Abhishek asking Tilak Verma if South Africa is the only country in the world with three capitals, and ended on a light note with a question about whether Axar Patel has the loudest laugh in the squad.

Since claiming the T20 World Cup 2024 title in June, India has been on a T20 winning streak. They first travelled to Zimbabwe, where, after an initial setback in the series opener, they roared back to clinch the series 4-1. Next, Suryakumar’s team completed a clean sweep in a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in July. Most recently, India overpowered Bangladesh with a 3-0 series win on their turf.
