Team India has taken the defeat in Cape Town Test as a wake-up call in tough South African conditions and returned into the nets to get their blades sharp before the second game.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared images of Team India’s practice session after finishing the first Test in four days (only three playing days). Experienced middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane and opener KL Rahul were the center of attraction in these practice hours. Captain Virat Kohli saw criticism after axing Rahane from the Test team, who is the most reliable batsman in overseas conditions.

India lost the opening game by 72 runs despite dictating the terms most of the time in the game. Batsmen were the main reason in this failure as bowlers did a fantastic job on day four by dismissing South Africa for 130, which left them with a target of 208 in the remaining time of the game.
