India’s historic triumph in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 continues to dominate cricket headlines, but an emotional moment off the field has added another memorable chapter to the celebration. Just hours after defeating the New Zealand cricket team in the final, key members of the India national cricket team visited the revered Hanuman Temple in Ahmedabad with the trophy to seek divine blessings.

Led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and Jay Shah, the delegation arrived at the temple located near the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium. The trio carried the glittering World Cup trophy as they offered prayers to Lord Hanuman, popularly known as Bajrangbali. The visit reflected a blend of sporting glory and spiritual gratitude, a tradition many Indian athletes follow after achieving major milestones.
