As the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is going on, every team has been trying hard to do well. But one team which won hearts is Thailand with their brilliant gesture, post-game gesture. They might have lost the game by seven wickets but that did not less the effect on their spirits as they went on to perform their tradition of bowing down in every direction to say thank you to everyone after the game. Thailand captain Sornnarin Tippoch, who is seen in an ever-smiling face, said that she and her team had waited for a long time to play in this big event and she is proud of her girls.
“We are happy, I think we played well. We wanted to score around 120 runs. We will try to get more than 100.” Thailand captain Sornnarin Tippoch said as quoted by India Today.

Thailand, with their years of hard work, fulfilled their dreams finally last year when they became the first side from South-East Asia to qualify for the main tournament along with Bangladesh.

As far as the match is concerned, Stafanie Taylor’s all-round effort– 3-0-13-3 & 37-ball 26– helped West Indies for a seven-wicket win for the 2016 T20 World Cup champions. Thailand batted first but barring wicketkeeper Nannapat Koncharoenkai’s 48-ball 33 and to some extent Naruemol Chaiwai (13), none of them could do well and they were eventually restricted to 9 for 78 after 20 overs.
While chasing 79, it was never going to trouble the side like West Indies but they did feel the pressure at the start and at one stage they were reduced to 3 for 24 but an unbeaten 53-run-stand between captain Stafanie Taylor [26*] and Shemaine Campbelle [25*] made sure that there were no more trouble as they took the side to the finish line in the 17th over as well.
