The Biopic Of MS Dhoni Will Be Re-releasing In The Threatres This Month

The Sushant Singh Rajput and Kiara Advani-starrer, ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’, will be re-releasing in the theatres on May 12 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is after seven years of its theatrical release; the makers have decided to release the film again for fans to cherish the magical moments of the former India skipper on the big screen. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the late Sushant Singh Rajput portrayed the role of the 2011 World Cup-winning captain, Dhoni.

The film celebrates the journey of the former Indian skipper, his successes, and failures involving his cricketing career and personal life. Winning hearts all over the nation, the film managed to collect huge numbers at the box office as it registered a collection of INR 133.04 crore. An official announcement was made on social media regarding the re-release which will hit the big screens on May 12.

“Jab Mahi phir pitch pe aayega, pura India sirf “Dhoni! Dhoni! Dhoni!” chilaayega. M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Re-Releasing in cinemas on 12th May,” captioned Star Studios.

At present, MS Dhoni is leading the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the ongoing IPL 2023 and is on the cusp of leading the team to a playoff berth. With incessant rain lashing in Lucknow, CSK and Krunal Pandya-led LSG remained on level terms, sharing a point each on Wednesday, May 3.

With this, MS Dhoni and his men are placed third on the IPL Points Table with five wins and four losses in 10 outings as they have 11 points and a decent Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.329. With four matches to be played in their league phase campaign, CSK will look to come all guns blazing and aim to cement a berth in the playoffs.

Moreover, with Dhoni’s retirement speculations up in the air, CSK will hope to add a fifth title to their illustrious cabinet to bid adieu to their captain. The MS Dhoni-led side is slated to play arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on Saturday, May 6.
