Lack of experiences

2015 CWC champions

Another big important reason for Australia’s present poor form in ODI cricket is the lack of experiences. Apart from the recent ball-tampering controversy and the top dependable pacers’ fitness issues, Australia lost some of their important cricketers after the end of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

WC winning skipper Michael Clarke, all-rounder Shane Watson, wicketkeeper Brad Haddin and lethal left-arm pacer Mitchell Johnson retired from the international cricket after winning the 2015 CWC at their home ground. It has created a big gap in Australia’s ODI squad which has looked like horrific in the last one year.

In the conclusion, though it is a very hard time in the Australian cricket, they had faced hard periods for the several times in the past too. In most cases, they returned in the game in brilliant ways. While the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup is less than a year to go, the work is harder but nothing is impossible for them who have habits to conquer the cricket world.
