During the 32nd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 between Australia and Sri Lanka at Sydney, former Sri Lankan opener, Tillakaratne Dilshan, scored six fours in a Micthell Johnson over.

Michael Clarke, the then Australian captain, had won the toss and chose to bat. Despite losing David Warner and Aaron Finch in the fifth and ninth over respectively, Australia went on to score a mammoth 376-9 in 50 overs. Glenn Maxwell had scored his maiden ODI hundred, 102 (53), with the help of 10 fours and four sixes. He had received able support from Steven Smith, Clarke and Shane Watson, who scored a half-century each.

Sri Lanka had lost Lahiru Thirimanne (1) in the second over. However, it couldn’t force Dilshan to change his game. He kept on attacking the Aussie bowlers. As a result of which, he hit six consecutive boundaries off Johnson in the sixth over. Dilshan ended up scoring 66 (60) with the help of eight fours. Even Kumar Sangakkara’s 24th ODI century, third of the tournament, 104 (107), with the help of 11 fours, couldn’t save Sri Lanka from losing.

Sri Lanka scored 312-10 in 46.2 overs. Australia won the match by 64 runs. Watch the full video of Dilshan unusual feat:
