Another intriguing forecast from Moody involves Shahrukh Khan, predicting that the dynamic player could find a new home with CSK for a sum close to nine crores, just under the amount he was released for by PBKS. Moody also foresees Gujarat Titans emerging from the auction with the most significant remaining purse, highlighting the potential financial strength of the franchise.

“Firstly, I think Steve Smith will not get picked up in this year’s auction. Secondly, Mitchell Starc will break the all-time auction record, currently held by Sam Curran with 18.5 crore. I think Starc will go beyond that. Third one is Shahrukh Khan. I think he will be picked up by CSK, and he won’t be too far off from what he was released for at around nine crore.”
