The upcoming edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is less than a week away from getting underway in Australia. The tournament will be commencing with the group stage fixtures before going on to the super 12 stage fixtures. Sri Lanka will take on Namibia in the opening match of the group stage.
The tournament will see batters and bowlers giving it all to help their teams win battles. It is certain that some players would bring the best out of themselves. Now, Let us have a look at different teams’ strike bowling rankings as shared by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Mujeeb Ur-Rahman is standing in 8th place and Rashid Khan is ranked second in terms of the ICC T20I bowling rankings. Rashid has been maintaining a bowling strike rate of 13.6. On the other hand, Mujeeb has been taking wickets every 16.2 balls.
Indian bowlers namely Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal are standing at the 12th and 34th places respectively. Bhuvi has an impressive bowling strike rate of 19.2 and Chahal has 18.2 respectively.
#3 South Africa
South African bowlers namely Tabraiz Shamsi and Lungi Ngidi have managed to maintain ranks of 5th and 37th in terms of the ICC T20I bowling rankings respectively. Ngidi has a bowling strike rate of 12.4. On the other hand, Shamsi has taken wickets every 17.90 balls.
Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is standing in the numero uno position in the ICC T20I bowling rankings. Hazlewood has a career strike rate of 15.10. On the other hand, Adam Zampa is ranked fourth in the T20I bowling rankings.
#5 New Zealand
New Zealand’s fiery pacers, Lockie Ferguson and Trent Boult are ranked 23rd and 26th in terms of ICC T20I bowling rankings. On the other hand, they have strike-rate of 16.5 and 14.1 respectively.
Reece Topley is taken a huge leap in recent times and reached 14th place whereas Mark Wood is ranked 32nd in terms of the ICC T20I bowling rankings. They have career strike rates of 20.9 and 14.3 respectively.
Pakistan bowlers namely Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim are ranked 15th and 74th in terms of the ICC T20I bowling rankings. They have a career strike rate of 16.9 and 13.7 respectively.
Mustafizur Rahman has a career strike rate of 16.5 whereas Shakib Al Hasan has 18.2. As far as the T20I bowling rankings are concerned, they are ranked 39th and 22nd respectively.
