Travis Head made a stunning comeback against his former team, Royal Challengers Bangalore, with a scintillating century in the ongoing IPL 2024 match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The Australian cricketer, who began his IPL journey with RCB in 2016 but later joined Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2024, showcased his explosive batting prowess in a memorable innings.

Having not played in the IPL since 2017, Head announced his return with an impressive 18-ball fifty in his first game of the season, setting the stage for his remarkable century.

Head’s onslaught started early as he dispatched Reece Topley for a six and a four in just the second over, setting the tone for his aggressive innings. He accelerated further in the final over of the powerplay, smashing two sixes and a four to reach his fifty in just 20 balls.

The left-handed batsman continued his assault beyond the powerplay, punishing the bowlers with a flurry of boundaries. He launched into Will Jacks for two sixes and a four in the seventh over and maintained his momentum with more boundaries in the following overs.

In a display of pure dominance, Head reached his maiden IPL century off just 39 balls, comprising nine fours and eight sixes. His explosive innings finally came to an end at 102 runs off 40 balls, with Lockie Ferguson dismissing him in the 13th over.
