Deshpande completed his hat-trick during the 11th over of Chandigarh’s innings, sending back Arjun Azad, Shivam Bhambri and Dipender Kush. His impressive spell put Chandigarh under immediate pressure as the visitors attempted to respond to Mumbai’s total of 429 runs. Arjun Azad was the first victim, caught by Sylvester D’Souza for 20 off 33 deliveries. Deshpande then clean-bowled Shivam Bhambri for a first-ball duck before Dipender Kush was caught by Yashasvi Jaiswal without scoring.

The three consecutive dismissals highlighted Deshpande’s accuracy and ability to exploit the opposition’s vulnerabilities. At the time of writing, Tushar Deshpande had claimed four wickets, having also dismissed Rohit Dhanda, who scored 48 runs. His breakthrough gave Mumbai further control over the contest, while Raj Bawa remained at the crease following the hat-trick.
