In the clash between CSK and GT, the combination of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan turned the tables on the CSK bowlers, with Tushar Deshpande’s fielding mishap adding insult to injury for Chennai. Winning the toss proved fortunate for Gujarat Titans, as Gill and Sudharsan laid a solid foundation, accumulating 58 runs without loss in the powerplay.

Tushar Deshpande made a huge blunder

Sai Sudharsan’s impressive fifty off 32 balls bolstered Gujarat’s scoreboard to 107/0 by the 10th over. Meanwhile, Gill’s brisk fifty off just 25 balls added to CSK’s woes. The pair showed no signs of slowing down, propelling the score to 143/0 by the 12th over. However, frustration mounted for the visitors when Daryl Mitchell lost his cool due to Tushar Deshpande’s lackluster fielding, which gifted Gujarat Titans an easy six.

In the 14th over, Gill attempted to send a length ball from Mitchell sailing over long-off for a maximum. Despite connecting well, the timing wasn’t perfect, sending the ball towards long-off where Tushar Deshpande awaited. However, Deshpande misjudged the trajectory, letting the ball slip past his grasp and concede a six. Mitchell’s reaction indicated his displeasure at his teammate’s costly fielding lapse.
