India was in a dire position when KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane fell early in the morning session of Kolkata Test. Captain Kohli was batting at the other and he was running out of the partners. Sri Lanka was right on top with the ball to win this game but then ‘Virat Kohli’ happened, who took India into a commanding position from nowhere.

Kohli was not among the runs in Test cricket and he got out for a duck in the first innings as well. However, he roared back very loud and took the game away from Sri Lanka’s reach with his 18^th Test century. The 119-ball knock features 12 fours and 2 sixes and it made Kohli only second Indian to climb 50 International centuries mountain after the great Sachin Tendulkar.
