Indian cricketer KL Rahul’s poor inconsistent batting form is running continuously. On day two of the second and final Test of the home series against Windies at Hyderabad, Rahul came to bat as an opener but scored only 4 runs.
After getting out for a duck in the previous Test at Rajkot, Rahul faced 25 balls on the day two of the ongoing second Test but scored only 4 runs before he was bowled by dragging the ball onto stumps on the Windies’ skipper Jason Holder’s delivery.

In the recent international cricket, Rahul is continuously struggling to be consistent with the bat. Apart from an impressive Test century during the fifth or last Test of the series in England tour (149 at The Oval), Rahul has struggled to maintain his earlier brilliant consistent batting form since the beginning of the ODI series in England tour. Between this period, Rahul failed to reach to the double-digit scores in some occasions, including three ducks, and mostly failed to manage a respectable knock.
Earlier, Rahul was in the impressive batting form during the IPL 2018. He carried the whole Kings XI Punjab batting line-up during the IPL 2018 and finished the tournament as the third leading run-scorer by scoring 659 runs with the average of 54.91 and the strike-rate of 158.41. In that tournament, the 26-year-old right-handed batsman brilliantly batted according to situations as he hit the fastest ever IPL half-century knock (in just 14 balls) as well as he also played season’s slowest half-century knock (in 48 balls). His best knock in that tournament was 95* against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur while he hit total six half-centuries in that tournament. However, his hard effort went in vain due to the lack of support from the fellow KXIP cricketers.
Later, he continued his good performances in the next few international cricket matches as he played three consecutive 50+ knocks, including one T20I century against England at Manchester. But soon that dream run has faded away.

Another failure from KL Rahul !! What are the options for India now? I think its between Vijay and Mayank. Vijay had a successful county stint and has a decent record in Australia. We can’t have two inexperienced openers #cricket #IndvWI

KL Rahul is the only non performing Batsman with adequate chances
Hope he finds the form before Aussies Tour#INDvWI— Dharmesh (@Mumbaiikar) October 13, 2018
@BCCI For Australia select Murli Vijay or any other new opener with Prithvi shaw if KL Rahul is not scoring runs as with Prithvi a good partner is required plus no. 7 no.8 no.9 required to score runs on Australian soil to win matches eben if we lost the toss our strategy good

He got so many oppertunity. He did nothing. You can see so players like Shaw they are waiting to play. Give them oppertunity. I believe they will do better the #KLRahul .
