Emotions ran raw for the Saurashtra Ranji team as they lifted their maiden Rani trophy title. Reaching the finals for the fourth time, The Saurashtra team was determined to win it this time around.
Saurashtra was in the finals for the 4th time in the last eight years. Their captain Unadkat did his best and ensured that the Saurashtra Ranji team emerged victorious as they took on Bengal in the final of the Ranji trophy 19-20 season at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
With no public allowed to enter the stadium amid Corona Virus outbreak across India, Very few people got to witness the history-changing moment live. Team members and staff ‘s of both the teams and associations were lucky to witness the Ranji Trophy end on a high.

Saurashtra’s Aarpit Vasavada won the match of the match for his reliant 100 in the Ranj trophy final. Aarpit was well supported by India’s middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara was back in the Ranji team final after returning from an average performing Test series in New Zealand. India’s test mainstay scored a solid 50 to help his side have a stronger grip on the game.
