Many times we have seen many interesting things in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The fourth game of the ongoing IPL between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) also saw an interesting thing when the young Riyan Parag imitated Kedar Jadhav’s bowling action while bowling in the 10th over. While he did only one ball, it was enough to divert the attention of Chris Gayle.

Newly-appointed captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to field first. They had a moderate powerplay against Punjab Kings where the trio of Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya and Chris Morris managed to restrict the opponent on a flat Wankhede pitch and Punjab managed 46/1 in the first six overs. However, soon after, the bowlers failed to execute their plans as Chris Gayle and KL Rahul quickly paced up things to bring Punjab back on track.

Trying to stop the run flow, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson tried to go with the part-time spinner Riyan Parag in the 10th over. While his first delivery was a long-hop, outside off, which KL Rahul punished well to collect a boundary, he changed his bowling style on the third delivery.

He changed his side and imitated his inner ‘Kedar Jadhav’ and bowled a low round-arm ball. While Gayle defended it well, the on-field umpire warned the young player – Riyan Parag. However, after messing up with Gayle’s head with his unique bowling action, he dismissed him with an offbreak delivery and the big-hitting batsman had to go after scoring a quickfire 40 off 28 with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
