The netizens never forget anything. That is one lesson India’s premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah learned the hard way when a couple of months ago he was trolled for wearing “transparent shorts” in a picture with the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.
Back in August, when the Men in Blue were touring the Carribean for a red-ball series and ahead of the first Test, Bumrah uploaded a picture in which he posed next to the skipper on a beach. Captioning the picture, Bumrah wrote: “Sun soaking with @imVkohli and the team”.

What Bumrah did not realize before pressing the “Tweet” button was he was sharing a little too much of himself with the world than his fans would have liked. Apparently, the shorts he was wearing were “see-through” and the Twitter users claimed that the could see “everything”.

After reading his followers’ comments on the various social media platforms, the bowler decided to come up with an explanation for why everything in the photo looks the way it does and this is how he responded to the trolls from his Instagram stories: “Fun fact: The understanding of lights and shadows isn’t common these days. Hope people recover from it soon,” wrote Jasprit Bumrah.

But there was not a single person who believed this theory. So learning from his previous mistakes, Bumrah tried his hand at shooting in the waters once again and to his fans’ utter delight, did not repeat the same mistake. Bumrah recently posted a picture of him with a sunset with not revealing too much in it. Captioning the picture, he wrote: “Seas the day!”
