Often compared to the Indian skipper for the strikingly similar charisma and the on-field presence the two command, the 24-year-old was once again compared with Kohli after he put on a show against the Proteas.

However, this time, Babar came out in public to give his opinion about the comparisons to an all-time great like Kohli.

The youngster added, “People compare me to Virat Kohli all the time. According to me, he is a great player and I am nowhere near him. My career has just begun. He’s achieved a lot. I still have to do that. If my performances are up to that level then you can compare (our performances) but right now there’s no comparison.”

Everything was well and good. People were happy with the manner in which the young cricketer handled the situation while showing his respect for the Indian skipper.
