Team India are currently playing against Australia in the third and final ODI. This is the decider one, as well as the series, is levelled where India started with a win and then Australia bounced back in the next as well. However, India did well in the game midway through the first innings at Chepauk on Wednesday, reducing the side to 128/4 after 26 overs at the time of writing. Hardik Pandya did the main destruction for the hosts as he sent back the Australian top three within 15 balls, facing a collapse from 68/0 to 85/3. Meanwhile, David Warner made headlines with his behaviour.

Ishan Kishan did the stumping

In the 19th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled to David Warner where he managed to extract a sharp turn on the second ball of the over that went away from Warner’s willow after pitching at a good length as well and it missed the bat by a whisker. Both the bowler and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan immediately appealed but at the very last moment, Kishan whipped the bails off the stumps as well. When the umpire showed interest in that, the Indian team showed there was a potential stumping as well asking for a third-umpire review also at that moment.

Thus, an expectant Indian side were seen in a huddle in the middle of the pitch, seemingly waiting for the third-umpire replays on the big screen but replays showed Warner’s foot was firmly grounded all along which helped the umpire stand firm on his decision as well. While Rohit Sharma said ‘bat toh nahi hai [there was no bat]’, David Warner was seen laughing at the skipper and Ishan Kishan’s cheeky attempt at exploiting another DRS. However, Yadav eventually dismissed Warner for a 31-ball 23.
