It’s difficult to avoid a controversy whenever India and Australia lock horns with each other. The ongoing Adelaide Test had everything in it. There was a banter going on between the players from both the teams and there was competitiveness as well. But just to ignite some controversy, Fox Sports just tried to create one such instance by questioning if KL Rahul’s match-winning catch was clean to be ruled out.
The 120th over of Australia’s second innings saw the end of a rather eventful Test match as on the fifth ball of the over was nicely looped up by Ravi Ashwin to tease Josh Hazlewood. The batsman got greedy to play a fancy drive and was completely defeated by the turn. The ball took the edge of his bat and went straight towards the second slip where Rahul was standing and he took a low catch.
As soon as the catch was taken, Team India was elated, but the two Australian batsmen on the field were left dejected as Nathan Lyon and Hazlewood had denied India the glory wicket for 66 deliveries. However, nobody questioned the catch with even Nigel Llong confirming with his naked eye before approving that it was out.

While the Indian fans stood up in pure delight that their team had finally managed to win in Australia and that too the first game of the series, Fox Sports’ video raising questions on the catch hs irked them a lot. It could be clearly seen in the video that though the ball was low, Rahul firmly had his fingers under it to claim the catch.
Moreover, Hazlewood was the center of the action with all the action going on and didn’t even bother challenging it which makes it clear that there was nothing in it to even doubt. But Fx Sports deliberately create a controversy out of it has not taken in good taste by the fans as they have thrashed them.
Here’s the video released by Fox Sports:

Yes, he didn't readjust his grip on the ball and when he was throwing it up in the air, his fingers were comfortably under the ball.
Don't whine, have some grace in loosing.

I must say the umpires just needed to look at it… check if the delivery was not a no ball.. they do it for every other dismissal.. why not this one? https://t.co/e7IYNcjLhi
