With an utmost important final left for the pacer, he stands a chance to surpass Ashutosh Aman’s all-time record registering himself as the highest wicket-taker in a single Ranji trophy season and rewrite the history books. 4 wickets in 2 innings at his home ground is not much of an ask from the in-form bowler, but the  Bengal Ranji team will try their best can spoil the mood by stopping the Saurashtra skipper’s red hot form and winning the trophy.

Such strong character and player skills from the left-arm pacer might also provide him a chance to don the Indian Jersey back again. A good IPL season for Jaydev Undakat and Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming IPL season will also force the Indian team selectors to have a look at the Saurashtra pacer and consider calling him up for the national team.

He continues by adding “It means a lot not because I have so many wickets, but because I have been able to win games for my side,” Unadkat explained. “If I have to be right up there in the bowling group we have in our country, then I need to do what no one else has done. I think I am there in terms of confidence, experience, and fitness.”

With Saurashtra back in the finals for the 4th time in the last eight years, Unadkat will try his best to win the title for his team when Saurashtra meets Bengal in the final beginning on March 9 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
