The young Indian all-rounder, Vijay Shankar can be termed as one of the most unlucky batsmen as he has got to bat only two times in his six ODI matches so far and on both the occasions he got out in one of the most unfortunate way possible. On Tuesday, during the second ODI between India and Australia in Nagpur, Shankar registered his second consecutive ODI run-out.

Earlier on the game, the Australian skipper, Aaron Finch decided to bowl first after winning the toss. While, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli decided not to make any changes in the squad, the visitors have made a couple of changes to their playing XI as Nathan Lyon and Shaun Marsh have come in place of Jason Behrendorff and Ashton Turner.

On the other hand, the Nagpur pitch is looking good for the spinners. In fact, Indian skipper Virat Kohli was looking to bat first only and had no regrets of losing the toss. India currently leads the ongoing five-match series as they had won the first match by six wickets.

Despite the slowness in the wicket, Shankar was playing some convincing cricket as he did in his first ODI innings in New Zealand, but very few had the idea that the end to his flawless knock will also come in a similar fashion.

On the penultimate ball of the 29th over bowled by Adam Zampa, the bowler delivered a full-length ball to Kohli, who drives it straight with a lot of power, and the bowler attempted a dive to his right and fortunately for him gets his fingertips onto the ball, only to be the ball crashing on to the stumps at the other end. Vijay dives to try and regain his ground, but he’s just short. A really unfortunate end to superb innings. Again he got out before scoring a well-deserved half-century.
