Former India cricketer Unmukt Chand has started his new journey as a USA player with a bang. A new initiative from the American Cricket Enterprise, Minor League Cricket in the U.S. has gained a lot of attraction and the youngster scored a fluent half-century.
However, in the tournament, a total of 27 teams are participating where the teams have been split into division-related groups like Atlantic and Pacific as well. And, the matches started on July 31. And, Unmukt Chand, who had faced a very rough time in India in terms of cricket, has done wonders as well.

He recently announced his retirement here so that he could play in other leagues. And, he has signed a three-year deal to play in the Minor League Cricket. American Cricket Enterprise has already signed many overseas players for the league so far. Notably, Chand is currently playing for Silicon Valley Strikers. He scored a match-winning 50 runs on Sunday against Golden State Grizzlies. The match was played at Morgan Hill as well.

The pitch at Morgan Hill was certainly a tough one to bat on. While the bowlers got the advantage more than the batsman, Golden State Grizzlies could manage 131 runs in the twenty overs as well. But when the Silicon Valley Strikers came on to bat, things changed for good. They got a great start and added a partnership of 73 runs.

And, Unmukt Chand took the charge of the run chase and later scored a stunning fifty as well and remained unbeaten till the end. He smashed 56 runs off 57 balls. However, Silicon Valley Strikers won the game in the 19th over. Meanwhile, if everything goes according to the plan then this tournament could be a major turning point in Chand’s cricketing career, as he has been overlooked for several years here in India as per International cricket. Despite being one of the promising youngsters, he had faced bad times which eventually made him take this decision as well.
