Sanju Samson couldn’t make a significant impact when Rajasthan Royals (RR) took on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 6 of IPL 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The RR skipper fell for a modest 13 off 11 deliveries, with Vaibhav Arora claiming his wicket. It was a moment of joy for Arora, whose well-executed delivery shattered Samson’s stumps, resulting in an animated celebration.

The dismissal occurred in the fourth over when Samson tried to take on Arora with an early charge. However, the delivery was too sharp, outplaying Samson’s intent and leading to a crucial breakthrough for KKR. Arora’s pumped-up reaction reflected the intensity of the contest.

Adding to RR’s early troubles, Riyan Parag also fell cheaply, with Varun Chakaravarthy striking immediately after being introduced into the attack. At the end of the eighth over, RR stood at 67/2, with Yashasvi Jaiswal looking solid at 28* off 21 balls. Partnering him was Nitish Rana, a former KKR player, now donning RR colors.
