His clean striking and confident shot-making gave fans another glimpse of why so many believe his India debut is only a matter of time.
India are set to begin a five-match T20I series in England on Wednesday, with Shreyas Iyer leading the side as they look to recover from an unexpected whitewash against Ireland. For the Men in Blue, the series offers a chance to reset quickly, rebuild momentum and address a few selection questions that have dominated the build-up.
Sooryavanshi looked in excellent touch during practice, repeatedly stepping out to the fast bowlers and launching the ball down the ground with authority. Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, however, has made it clear that the team management is taking a measured approach.ย โHe is absolutely ready to play international cricket; there is no doubt about that.
