Rising Indian cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to make headlines, not just for his performances on the field but also for the recognition he is receiving off it. The teenage batting prodigy was recently gifted a brand-new Tata Curvv coupe SUV by Tata Motors after being named the Curvv Super Striker of the Season during the Indian Premier League 2025.
The award recognised Sooryavanshi’s extraordinary strike rate during the tournament, where his fearless batting and attacking approach caught the attention of fans and experts alike. To celebrate the achievement, Tata Motors officially handed over the SUV to the young cricketer at the Ananya Auto dealership in Patna, Bihar.
The presentation ceremony turned into a special family moment. Sooryavanshi arrived at the showroom accompanied by his family members and was invited to inaugurate the dealership by cutting the ribbon. Shortly after the ceremony, the white-coloured Tata Curvv was unveiled, and the youngster symbolically handed the keys to his father while posing for photographs with fans and dealership staff who had gathered to witness the occasion.

Sooryavanshi’s rise in Indian cricket has been nothing short of remarkable. Widely regarded as one of the most exciting young batting talents in the country, he has built a reputation for explosive stroke play and an expansive range of shots. Earlier this year, he etched his name in the record books during the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup by smashing 175 runs off just 80 balls against England in the final, the highest individual score in the history of the tournament.

Interestingly, despite receiving a brand-new SUV, the young star will have to wait a few years before driving it himself. At just 14 years of age, Sooryavanshi is still below the legal driving age in India, meaning the car will most likely be used by his family until he obtains a driver’s licence.
This isn’t the first luxury gift the prodigy has received for his performances. Following his standout campaign in the IPL last year, Ranjit Barthakur — associated with the franchise Rajasthan Royals — presented him with a Mercedes-Benz luxury car as a reward for his impressive displays.

The Tata Curvv gifted to Sooryavanshi is finished in Pristine White and features a coupe-inspired sloping roofline, giving it a sporty, modern design. The SUV is packed with premium features, including a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera system.
Currently priced between ₹9.66 lakh and ₹18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), the Curvv is available with multiple engine options as well as an electric variant, making it one of the most versatile offerings from Tata Motors’ modern SUV lineup.
