RR’s star batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has said that he has his eyes set on making his India debut after scoring his record-breaking century against Gujarat Titans on Monday, April 28. Speaking to IPL’s official website, Suryavanshi said, “The truth is, now I have to push even harder — work more, perform more, until I reach that level where I can represent India. I will continue working hard until I get there, and I aim to represent the country and contribute something good for it.”

After his stunning knock against GT, Vaibhav paid tribute to his parents, who have sacrificed a lot for him. He also said that his father always felt that hard work wouldn’t go unrewarded as well.

“Whatever I am today is because of my parents. My mom wakes up at 2 a.m. to send me for practice because of me. She sleeps at 11 p.m., gets only three hours of sleep, and then she cooks food for me. My dad wakes up too. He even left his job; my elder brother took over my father’s work with great difficulty to keep the household running, and my father dedicated himself completely to supporting me. He believed that hard work never goes unrewarded, and today, whatever results you see, whatever success I am achieving, it is all because of my parents,” said Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Vaibhav Suryavanshi and RR will be next play against MI at the Wankhede stadium on May 1.
