Andhra Pradesh’s opening batsman, Vamshhi Krrishna, etched his name into the record books with a remarkable display of power-hitting, smashing six consecutive sixes against Railways in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy at the YS Raja Reddy ACP Cricket Stadium in Kadapa. This extraordinary feat saw him join the esteemed company of Ravi Shastri, Yuvraj Singh, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, making him the fourth Indian cricketer to achieve this remarkable milestone.

Krrishna’s onslaught saw him score a blistering 110 runs off just 64 balls, featuring nine boundaries and an impressive ten sixes. His assault propelled Andhra Pradesh to a commanding total of 378 runs in their first innings, with Vamshhi Krrishna emerging as the top scorer of the innings.

Displaying a wide array of shots, Vamshhi Krrishna targeted wrist spinner Damandeep Singh, dispatching him to all corners of the ground. He kickstarted his onslaught with a powerful slog-sweep over deep square leg, followed by a towering hit straight down the ground.

The next four deliveries were dispatched with equal authority, completing his historic feat of six sixes in an over. The feat achieved by Krrishna joins a prestigious list of cricketers, with legendary West Indian all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers being the first to achieve this milestone in cricket history.

Ravi Shastri became the first Indian batsman to achieve the feat domestically, while Yuvraj Singh replicated the feat at the international level during the 2007 T20 World Cup. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s seven sixes in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2022 further underscored the rarity and excitement of this achievement.
