It was yet another century for the Australian skipper Steve Smith, on the third day of the third Ashes Test at Perth. He smashed the 22nd hundred of his career and bailed Australia out of a tricky situation with his 2nd double-hundred of his career as their openers—David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, cheaply.

Visibly impressed by his milestone, former England skipper Michael Vaughan put Smith in a league of ‘freaks’, that also comprises of Virat Kohli. He tweeted, “Just having a glass of vino I have decided Steve Smith has joined @imVkohli in the Freak Category … an incredible player … #Justsaying #Ashes.”

Not only that, Vaughan also reckons that Kohli is the best player across formats, but Smith is as the numero uno in Tests. Vaughan tweeted, “IMO … @imVkohli is the best player across the 3 formats … But @stevesmith49 is the best in Tests … #OnOn #Ashes … Although I would really like both in the same team ….”

So far, in the 58 Tests, Smith has amassed 5557 runs, while Kohli in 63 matches has 5268 runs.
