India’s hard-hitting batter Veda Krishnamurthy recorded her highest individual score in the history of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2017-18 season.
In a match between Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades, Krishnamurthy smashed 40 runs from 35 balls at a strike rate of 114.29 including 6 boundaries. She missed out on a fifty and got run out trying to complete the second run. She had finally got a form back in the T20 cricket.
It was a crucial knock for Hobart Hurricanes as they suffered a major batting collapse losing 6 wickets in a matter of 11 runs. When she got out, the score was 97 for 4 in the 15th over. Hobart could manage to score a meager total of 120 runs in the first innings.
