Team India have produced several quality all-rounders and Hardik Pandya is one of them. He has done well with both the bat and the ball. Recently, the team found another all-rounder in Venkatesh Iyer, who is in the early stage of his international career though. And, often he gets to hear the comparison with Pandya. However, he recently shut down all the comparisons.
In a recent interaction with SportsTiger, the KKR all-rounder referred to Hardik Pandya as a ‘superstar’. He also shared Hardik’s achievements for the national side as well. Notably, Pandya has a stupendous IPL campaign where he led the team in their maiden IPL title that too on his debut.

“Hardik Pandya is a superstar of the game. It will be an immense opportunity for me to learn so much from him. He has won so many games for our country and I hope he keeps doing so. I am taking it as a beautiful opportunity to learn and observe him. There is no competition between us, he is way ahead, and I would like to play alongside him,” Venkatesh Iyer said.
However, both Venkatesh Iyer and Hardik Pandya have been named in India’s squad for the upcoming home T20I series against South Africa. While Pandya is coming back to the Indian team after the injury lay-off Iyer has been part of the team for the last few months ever since he made his debut after a stealer IPL season last year.

“This is the right example for any team in the world. If you can play as a team and build a good unit with genuine people around, wonders can happen. I and Ashu pa, we like to play proper bowlers. Batters can obviously chip in, but most of the time I have seen in T20 cricket – it’s a batter’s game but bowlers win you games. A lot of times we won the games as well, but we always spoke about what are the things we missed out and how we can get better from here. Everyone chipped in. Count myself lucky winning 5 finals, it’s been exciting. This is going to be a special one. We spoke about creating a legacy. Generation to come, everyone will remember this was the team who started this journey and to win the championship first year is very special,” Hardik Pandya said after winning the final.
