Since the 2013 IPL spot-fixing has been broken out, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) banned the Indian pacer Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, famously known as S Sreesanth, and he hasn’t played any competitive cricket match. Recently, he was seen to bowl in the same old rhythm.

After making debut in international cricket in 2006, Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is where he picked up 87, 75 and 7 wickets respectively. He played his last international game in August 2011.

In his short international career for India, Sreesanth was in the two major international tournaments winning team. He was a member in 2007 ICC World T20 and 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, both had won by Indian cricket team and he played both the final. In the 2007 ICC World T20 final against Pakistan, Sreesanth took the match-winning catch at short fine-leg to dismiss opponent’s last batsman Misbah-ul-Haq.

On the other hand, the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup final against Sri Lanka at Wankhede (Mumbai) was his last ODI. Since then, the right-arm pacer played only three Test matches, all on the English soil.

In the IPL history, Sreesanth played for Kings XI Punjab (2008-2010), Kochi Tuskers Kerala (2011) and Rajasthan Royals (2012-2013). In his IPL career, Sreesanth took 40 wickets and his best season was the inaugural season where he finished as the second most wicket-taker in the tournament after Rajasthan Royals’ Sohail Tanvir  (22 wickets).

Since facing banned, Sreesanth was far away from cricket and has tried his luck in different other areas including politics and movies.

Recently, he shared some small videos in the social media where Sreesanth was seen in same bowling rhythm that cricket fans know very well.
