The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has always been known for his passion for football. The prolific batsman on Tuesday took to Instagram to share a video of him acing a kick while playing football. In the video, the Indian skipper can be seen taking a shot from just outside the box.

Captioning the video on Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote, “Accidental crossbar challenge,” with a laughing emoji. He manages to bend it across to the far post, but only for the ball to hit the crossbar and bounce back. Kohli can be seen with his head in his hands after gasping in exasperation as he nailed the kick.

India football team captain Sunil Chhetri, impressed with Kohli’s shooting skills had a question for the prolific batsman. He tweeted, “Saare coaching sessions ka ek hi invoice bheju, ya aasan kishton mein chukaoge, champ? (Should I send one invoice for all the coaching sessions, or you would like to pay in easy installments, champ?).”

Kohli is often seen playing football while training for the Indian team or Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He is also close friends with Sunil Chhetri. He Kohli, along with the rest of India’s Test squad began hard quarantine in Mumbai on Tuesday, before flying to the UK for a long tour.  Virat Kohli will be leading the Indian team for six Tests in England.

Their tour will begin with the final of the inaugural World Test Championship against New Zealand in Southampton. The WTC final will be followed by the five-match Test series against England in August-September awaits India.

Kohli won’t be part of the Indian team that will be traveling to Sri Lanka in July for a limited-over over series which will comprise of three ODIs and five T20Is. Kohli was last seen in action in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 before the tournament was suspended. He led RCB to third in the table before the tournament was suspended indefinitely by the BCCI earlier this month.
