India batting icon Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, have expanded their premium real estate portfolio by purchasing a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Versova for ₹18.29 crore. According to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com, the transaction was officially registered on July 21, 2026, adding another high-value asset to the celebrity couple’s impressive list of property investments across India.
The newly acquired apartment is located on a higher floor of Godrej Skyshore, a premium residential development in Andheri West’s Versova locality. The home offers a carpet area of 2,644 square feet, along with an additional 316 square feet of exclusive space and three dedicated car parking slots, making it one of the standout luxury residences in the project.
The registration documents reveal that the couple paid ₹1.09 crore in stamp duty and ₹30,000 as registration charges to complete the transaction. Based on the purchase price and carpet area, the apartment was acquired at an estimated ₹69,159 per square foot, highlighting the continued demand for luxury homes in Mumbai’s western suburbs despite rising property prices.

An email seeking comments was reportedly sent to Godrej Properties, while Kohli and Sharma had not issued any official statement regarding the purchase at the time of writing.
Interestingly, Godrej Skyshore has become a preferred destination for celebrity homebuyers. Earlier this year, acclaimed Bollywood actor Tabu (Tabassum Fatima Hashmi) also purchased a 2,153-square-foot apartment in the same development for around ₹10 crore, according to property registration documents.

Real estate experts believe Versova continues to attract celebrities, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals because of its proximity to Mumbai’s entertainment industry and the anticipated benefits of the Mumbai Coastal Road North Project. Improved connectivity to South Mumbai and key commercial hubs is expected to further boost the appeal of premium residential markets, including Bandra, Juhu, Santacruz, Khar, Andheri, Versova, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar, Mira Road and Bhayandar.
This latest purchase is another addition to Kohli and Sharma’s extensive real estate portfolio. The couple owns a lavish residence in DLF Phase 1, Gurugram, reportedly spread across 10,000 square feet and valued at around ₹80 crore. The property features premium amenities, including a private swimming pool, a state-of-the-art gym and expansive landscaped spaces.

Earlier this year, the celebrity couple also invested heavily in Alibaug, purchasing over five acres of land in Zirad village near Awas Beach for approximately ₹37.86 crore. The acquisition involved two adjoining land parcels covering nearly 21,010 square metres. Before that, in 2022, Kohli and Sharma purchased an eight-acre plot in Alibaug for around ₹19 crore, where they later built a luxurious villa featuring a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a bespoke kitchen, a jacuzzi, landscaped gardens, covered parking and dedicated staff quarters.
With multiple premium investments across Mumbai, Gurugram and Alibaug, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma continue to strengthen their position among India’s most prominent celebrity real estate investors, reflecting the growing appeal of branded luxury residential developments in the country’s prime property markets.
