Their visits to Vrindavan, where they attended the Ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, and Ujjain, where they offered prayers at the famous Lord Shiva temple, during the home series earlier this year, went viral on the internet, capturing the attention of fans worldwide.

In a recent cricketing event, India had the opportunity to secure the coveted ICC Test mace by winning the World Test Championship final played at The Oval. However, the Rohit Sharma-led side couldn’t make significant inroads into the Australian batting lineup despite choosing to field first on a slightly green wicket.

Australia’s Travis Head played breathtaking innings of 163 off 174 balls, supported by Steven Smith’s 121 off 268 deliveries, as they posted a mammoth first-innings total of 469. India needed a strong batting performance to give themselves a comeback chance, but they were eventually bowled out for 296. Ajinkya Rahane’s gritty knock of 89 off 129 deliveries provided some resistance, but it wasn’t enough.

In the second innings, India’s bowlers struggled to contain Australia, allowing them to add 270 runs to their total. This set a target of 444 runs for India to chase in the fourth innings. Despite the hopes pinned on Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane at the start of the final day, their efforts were in vain as Australia’s Scott Boland (3/46) and Nathan Lyon (4/41) put in superb bowling spells. Ultimately, Australia emerged victorious in the summit clash, defeating India by a substantial margin of 209 runs.

Looking ahead, Team India is scheduled to tour the West Indies for a multi-format series, which will include two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.
