Power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have decided to merge their respective foundations on Wednesday, March 22, and set up a new foundation with the name SeVVA. The star couple released a joint statement and mentioned that they will be aiming to help people in dire need through the launch of SeVVA and is not necessarily aimed at a cause in particular.
Both Anushka and Virat are known for their philanthropic work beside their profession and have helped a lot of people in the past with the same. Both are hopeful that their brand-new initiative will help them reach out to those who are in need of help to sustain themselves and their family members.

As per the quotes in Times of India, the joint statement read, “In the words of Kahlil Gibran ‘For in truth, it is a life that gives unto life- while you, who deem yourself a giver, are but a witness’. With this sentiment in mind, we have decided to work together through SeVVA aiming to reach out to as many people as possible.”

It further added, “SeVVA’s work won’t be confined to a particular issue as it will continue to strive for social good by championing humanity which is the need of the hour today.”
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is known for providing scholarships for sports and his foundation which was earlier known as the Virat Kohli Foundation also used to sponsor athletes. Significantly, before the merger, Anushka’s foundation was called the Anushka Sharma Foundation, and the actress by virtue of her foundation has been working towards animal welfare and will continue to do so.

The couple now aims to help various sections of society through their joint venture SeVVA and hopes that it ends up creating a difference. Notably, Virat and Anushka alongside Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were spotted at the red carpet of the Indian Sports Honours 2023 in Mumbai. 2023 saw the fourth edition of Indian Sports Honours.
