Several celebrities have come ahead to help the people in need during the ongoing pandemic. Sonu Sood is the most talked celebrity in this regard and has saved plenty of lives so far by doing charitable deeds. Cricketers aren’t behind in helping people and have donated big amounts to fulfil the needs of suffering people.

The latest example is of Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, who have saved the life of a child by raising a whopping amount. The couple urged people to come forward and donate for Ayaansh, a kid who is suffering from spinal muscular atrophy. This is a rare genetic disorder and requires the world’s most expensive medicine – Zolgensma. The medicine costs a whopping amount of INR 16 crores.

Ayaansh’s parents revealed the news on Twitter, where they made an account named ‘AyaanshFighsSMA’ to raise fund for their child’s disease. The account revealed the news on Sunday.
In a series of tweets, they revealed how Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma helped them to save their child’s life. The tweet reads, “Never thought that this arduous journey we set on to #saveayaanshgupta would culminate this beautifully. Happy to announce that we have reached ₹16 Cr. needed to get #Zolgensma for #Ayaansh. A big thank you to every person who supported us. This is your victory.”

Indian skipper Kohli is under quarantine in Mumbai ahead of Team India’s much-awaited England tour. India are scheduled to play in the World Test Championship Final against New Zealand in Southampton, starting from June 18. Later on, Kohli’s troops will face England in the five-match Test series starting in August.
