Veteran India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were recently spotted together during a shoot ahead of the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies. The Indian team is set to host the Caribbean side in a multi-format white-ball series featuring three ODIs and five T20Is. Kohli and Rohit arrived separately in Trivandrum, which will host the opening ODI on Sunday, September 27.
The two senior stars were later seen together for a shoot in their Team India training kits. With their kit bags over their shoulders, Kohli and Rohit faced each other while exchanging a fist bump for the cameras. Although both players have featured in numerous individual shoots over the years, seeing them together for a promotional shoot was a relatively rare sight. A picture of the moment was shared on social media platform X, with members of the production crew also visible in the background.
The upcoming series will mark the return of both Indian stalwarts to the ODI setup after their previous 50-over assignment during India’s tour of England earlier this year. Following the series opener in Trivandrum, Guwahati will host the second ODI on Wednesday, September 30, while the final match is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, in New Chandigarh.

With the 2027 ODI World Cup drawing closer, every series will carry added significance for India’s preparations. Kohli and Rohit are expected to remain major talking points, with fans and selectors closely following their performances during the three-match series.

Both batters enter the contest after productive outings against England. Rohit produced a match-winning performance in the final ODI at Lord’s, smashing a superb century. Kohli, meanwhile, registered consecutive half-centuries in the final two matches of the series.
The two experienced batters also boast impressive ODI numbers against the West Indies. Kohli has scored 2,261 runs in 43 matches at an average of 66.50, including nine centuries and 11 half-centuries. Rohit has accumulated 1,613 runs in 35 innings at 57.60, with three hundreds and 12 fifties.
