Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma Salute Frontline Workers For Their Work In COVID-19 Battle

India captain Virat Kohli and his wife as well as famous actress Anushka Sharma took to Twitter on Sunday and shared their thoughts and salute the frontline workers for their amazing work and putting their “lives at risk” to save other people amid the crunch time of COVID-19. They also thanked all those who helped each other in these “difficult times”.

“I have nothing but gratitude for all the healthcare and frontline workers, they put their lives at risk to save ours, for this we are in awe of their spirit and dedication,” Virat Kohli wrote in his tweet. “I also want to thank all the people who came forward in such difficult times and helped each other in every possible way. India is grateful to have heroes like you. Jai Hind.

On the other hand, Anushka Sharma, in her tweet, referred to the frontline workers as the “real heroes”.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to all our healthcare and frontline workers, their dedication is truly inspiring. You continue to risk your lives for the nation, and for that, we are eternally grateful to you. You are the real heroes, for Virat and I, and for the nation,” Anushka took to Twitter and shared.

On Friday, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma organised a fund-raising campaign for COVID-19 relief support where they donated Rs 2 crore. Along with this, they urged everyone to donate to help whatever they can to those who are suffering from the deadly virus in India as the country is fighting against the dangerous second wave of the virus.

Notably, the campaign has received a total of Rs 3.6 crore in donations within a day and both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma thanked their fans on social media as well. It is also noteworthy that, as soon as the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was postponed for an indefinite time period, Kohli returned to Mumbai and started helping COVID-19 affected people.
